Focus and Scope

The Indonesian Journal of Fish Processing Technology (IJFPT) focuses on scientific research and technological development related to the processing and utilization of fishery and marine resources. The journal publishes original research articles and review papers that contribute to the advancement of fisheries-based processing technology and support sustainable development in the fisheries and maritime sector.

Focus

IJFPT emphasizes studies on postharvest handling, processing technology, quality improvement, and value addition of fishery and marine products.

Scope

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:

  • Characterization and quality assessment of fish and marine raw materials

  • Postharvest handling, preservation, and storage of fishery products

  • Fish and marine product processing technology

  • Product development and innovation of fishery-based foods

  • Quality assurance, food safety, and risk assessment of fishery products

  • Food chemistry and biochemistry of fishery and marine products

  • Food microbiology and biotechnology related to fishery products

  • Functional foods, nutraceuticals, and bioactive compounds from marine resources

  • Management, innovation, and technology of fisheries and marine-based industries

Out of Scope

Manuscripts that do not have a clear connection to fishery and marine product processing technology will not be considered for publication. These include:

  • Studies on capture fisheries or aquaculture production without postharvest or processing aspects

  • Pure biological or ecological studies unrelated to processing or product utilization

  • Socio-economic studies without linkage to fish processing technology or product development
